Sunny Hwang SAT Math, AP Math & AP Science Tutoring

About Me

I hold a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Georgia Tech. Following my doctoral studies, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focusing on computational modeling. I then worked as a Computational Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, applying data-driven and physics-based simulations to support drug development.

Throughout my academic and professional career, I’ve maintained a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. I have extensive experience as a teaching assistant in undergraduate and graduate-level math, science, and computer science courses at Georgia Tech. In addition, I’ve taught SAT Math and tutored high school students in AP Math(Calculus, Statistics, etc) / Science(Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc) courses for many years, helping students build strong foundational skills and succeed in standardized testing. In addition, I have a strong interest in academic consulting, where I can help students navigate their educational paths, improve academic performance, and make informed decisions about their future.

저는 조지아공과대학교 (Georgia Tech) 에서 화학 및 생체분자공학 학사와 재료과학 박사 학위를 취득하였습니다. 박사 과정 이후에는 일리노이대학교 어배너-섐페인 (UIUC) 에서 박사후 연구원 (Postdoctoral Fellow) 으로 경험을 쌓은후, 이후 제약 산업에서 연구원 (Computational Scientist) 로 재직하며, 데이터 기반 및 물리 기반 시뮬레이션을 통해 약물 개발을 지원하였습니다.

학문적 연구와 산업 경력을 쌓는 동안, 저는 교육과 멘토링에 대한 강한 열정을 꾸준히 이어왔습니다. 조지아공대에서 학부 및 대학원 수준의 수학, 과학, 컴퓨터 과학 과목에 대한 조교 (Teaching Assistant) 경험이 풍부하며, 오랜 기간 동안 SAT 수학을 가르치고, 고등학생들을 대상으로 AP 수학 (미적분, 통계 등) 및 과학 (화학, 생물, 물리 등) 과목을 지도해 왔습니다. 이를 통해 학생들이 탄탄한 기초 실력을 다지고, 시험에서 좋은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 도왔습니다. 추가로, 학생들이 자신의 학업 경로를 효과적으로 설계하고 학업 성취도를 높이며, 진로에 대한 합리적인 결정을 내릴 수 있도록 돕는 아카데믹 컨설팅에도 깊은 관심을 가지고 있습니다.
